The safety capacitor means that after the failure of the capacitor, it will not cause electric shock and does not endanger personal safety. Safety capacitors are usually only used for filtering in anti-jamming circuits. It includes two types of X capacitors and Y capacitors. X capacitors are the capacitors that span between the two lines of the power line (Lmurn), generally using metal film capacitors; Y capacitors are the capacitors that span between the two lines of the power line and the ground (Lmurine), which usually appear in pairs. Due to the limitation of leakage current, the Y capacitance can not be too large. Generally, the X capacitance is uF and the Y capacitance is nF. X capacitor suppresses differential mode interference and Y capacitor suppresses common mode interference.
